I'm a first-generation college graduate (BS, Management Information Systems, San Jose State University) who built Conosi solo, from an empty repo to the App Store. Most of my best thinking happens away from a desk: a laptop, a coffee, and a few hours is usually all it takes. Outside of engineering I play hockey, which has a way of teaching you that speed without control just means you fall down faster.
